Please fill out the form to register as an organ and tissue donor. By registering as a donor you consent to donate your organs and tissues at the time of your death. Organs and tissues will be recovered for the purpose of transplantation, however, in the event a donated organ or tissue cannot be used for transplant, an effort will be made to use the donation for research.

Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency (MORA) proudly announces its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of dedication to saving and healing lives through organ, eye, and tissue donation. Since its inception on July 1, 1994, MORA has facilitated the recovery of close to 6,304 life-saving organs for transplant, and since 2000, has recovered life-enhancing tissue from 4,788 tissue donors.*
“Thanks to the incredible people of Mississippi and the collaborative efforts of our hospitals, healthcare providers, coroners, medical examiners, funeral homes, and elected officials, organ donation has significantly increased. We went from 27 organ donors in 1994 to 134 in 2023. Since we began tissue services in 2000, the number of tissue donors has risen from 24 to 396 this past year,” said Kevin Stump, MORA’s President/CEO. “Our mission to saving and healing lives remains as strong as ever, and we look forward to continuing this vital work in the years to come.”
As MORA celebrates this milestone, the agency reaffirms its commitment to its mission of saving and healing lives. With the ongoing support of the community, MORA will continue to strive for a future where everyone in need of a transplant receives one.
MORA is a not-for-profit, federally designated organ procurement organization (OPO) serving most of Mississippi. Headquartered in Flowood, MORA has staff across the state and collaborates with hospitals and healthcare organizations in their service area to save and heal lives through organ, eye, and tissue donation.
