Family of Donor Hero Charlie Elam to be Honored at Flag Raising Ceremony

JACKSON—The Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency (MORA) and Entergy Mississippi will host a flag raising ceremony in honor of longtime Entergy Mississippi employee Charlie Elam who became an organ, eye, and tissue donor in 2020. April is National Donate Life Month- a month dedicated to raising awareness of the need for organ, eye, and tissue donation and celebrating the lives of those impacted by the Gift of Life through donation and transplantation.

WHERE:         MORA, 4400 Lakeland Dr., Flowood, MS 39232

More than 1,400 Mississippians are on the waiting list for a life-saving transplant. One organ donor has the potential to save 8 lives and one tissue donor has the potential to heal and save the lives of more than 75 people.
