Job Title: Database and Business Intelligence Administrator 

Company/Regional Office: Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency 

Reporting Relationship: Director of Communication Systems 

Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with periodic on-call and weekend responsibilities 

Exemption Status: Exempt 

Emergency Status: Essential 

Supervisory/Non-Supervisory Position: Non-Supervisory 

Summary of duties and responsibilities: Responsible for administering MORA’s database installations, developing datasets from those databases to meet our ad hoc analytical needs and supporting and expanding our existing reporting and business intelligence development. Collaborates with end-users to develop reports and dashboards. The Database and Business Intelligence Administrator is responsible for timely design, development and distribution of visualizations of the organization. Education and Work Experience Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. 

1. A minimum of one (1) year experience in Database administration  

2. Experience with and knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server products 

3. A minimum of one (1) year experience in dataset, report and business intelligence development is required.

  • Experience in dataset development using SQL
  • Experience in BI development with Power BI
  • Experience in report writing with SSRS 

4. Must be self-directed/self-motivated. 

5. Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills. 

6. Must be able to perform a variety of duties often shifting from one project to another without loss of efficiency or composure. 

7. Must be able to accept responsibility for the direction, control, and planning of one’s own work. 

Essential Job Functions: 

  1. Administer and maintain MORA’s SQL Server installations. 
  2. Maintain and expand MORA’s SSRS library. 
  3. Maintain and expand MORA’s Power BI library. 
  4. Develop datasets for ad hoc data requests. 
  5. Must be proficient in SQL Collaborate with end-users and build reports and dashboards utilizing organization business intelligence platforms. 
  6. Timely design, development, and distribution of reports, dashboards, and visualizations for the organization. 
  7. Work with cross-functional teams to gather and document reporting requirements to meet business needs. Other duties may be assigned.
