Healthcare Partners

The Hospital Development department at the Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency partners with hospitals throughout our service area to establish a greater understanding of organ and tissue donation and the importance it serves in saving and improving lives.

The primary responsibility of the department is to educate healthcare professionals about the best practices for the donation process, which includes all aspects of donation, from the appropriate identification and timing of potential donor referrals to the medical maintenance of the donor. A collaborative approach allows for the donation process to not only be understood, but embraced – and this will help to ensure that every family is given the opportunity for donation and that each potential opportunity to give the gift of life becomes a reality.

To obtain more information, please contact MORA’s Hospital Development department. You will then be connected with the coordinator who manages your hospital.

Mississippi Hospitals for Hope Campaign

The Mississippi Hospitals for Hope campaign is a collaborative venture that teams the Mississippi Hospital Association, the Mississippi Lions Eye Bank, and MORA with hospitals across Mississippi in an effort to save lives through organ, eye, and tissue donation. Participating in the Hospitals for Hope Campaign is simple and can be combined with your hospital’s current plans for outreach throughout the year and especially during National Donate Life Month in April. Participation is as easy as enrolling in the program and sending an e-mail to staff encouraging them to learn more about organ, eye & tissue donation or posting a message about donation on Facebook.

If you would like to find out more information about the campaign, please visit the Mississippi Hospitals for Hope website at or contact Haratio Keys at or (601) 936-8612.
